Joanna had abdominal surgery 6 weeks and 3 days ago (yes, she gave us permission to use her story). She has followed doctor’s orders regarding return to movement and exercise, generally doing what her body allowed her to do- listening to how things felt- and allowing that do guide her recovery. Speaking with him on the phone regarding the plan for return to CrossFit- he cleared her for WODs. She has done 3 individual sessions and here is a clip of some of yesterday’s- including a new PR on double unders! Her surgeon comment that the surgery went very well in large part because of her level os strength and fitness going into it- and her recovery is a testimony to that as well.
