Thursday 171130 Snatch 1RM

These heavy lifting days are an integral part of our program. If you have been around the Hut for a while, then you likely know your previous one repetition maximum snatch (and whether it was a power or full snatch). For you… today is all about getting in some skill work and practice with some lighter weights, working up in load, and finally- hitting something higher than your previous best. Followed by some cheers, applause, high fives, and writing your accomplishment on the November PR board.

For relative newcomers to the Hut, these lifting days are equally critical- but not for the purpose of breaking any goals or even establishing a current one rep max. Critical because you have a full hour of technique work of THE MOST technical lift that we use regularly. For you all- today is more about getting in many reps with good form- and receiving feedback on your movement. Then making adjustments and trying to move even better. And it is fun making progress with these very athletic movements!

Thursday’s WOD at 6, 7, 9am and again at 4 and 6pm
Snatch, 1 rep
Skills and drills that lead to a new 1 rep max
Post load to chalkboard/journals and PR board.
May 9 2017 and check PR whiteboard for most recent best lift
