Wednesday 160302 Push Press 5×5

Halfway into the week and most of us are anticipating the release of CrossFit Games Open WOD 16.2… with a combination of excitement, dread, trepidation, and fear.  It is a funny feeling at the Open Announcements on Thursday nights over the years… waiting for Dave to tell us what we have to “look forward to” with all of these feelings.  Hope you join us on Thursday to get a dose of that with us!

And in the meantime, we have some strength work to get done.  We can’t just wait around for that single, solitary WOD for the week… and today it is heavy presses.  Five sets of five.  And what makes today a little different, is that they will be taken from the ground.  We will work on some technique in the cleans- and get in a full five reps with each one.  And I have this feeling that clean and jerks and coming our way in 16.2.  No way to know- but let’s see!
