Tuesday 160216 Snatch EOM and Sled Pulls

Most nights before shutting down and falling asleep I check the CrossFit “main page” site to see what CFHq has programmed for the next day.  And what I just saw BLEW my mind.  Not a crazy WOD, Not an amazing picture.  Not a link to an obscure article on the Dewey Decimal system.  But THIS.  A brand new, revamped website that looks much more like an updated and newly affiliated CrossFit box site than the old-fashioned, outdated, clunky/nerdy “main page” of yesteryear.  Old-school CrossFitters can be very nostalgic about the good old days.  Back when you would approach and talk to ANYONE wearing a CrossFit shirt.  When wearing Chucks and board shorts were de rigueur for WODs.  When the Games were held in Dave Castros backyard.  And on and on.  I have to say that this “news” I stumbled upon this evening actually pre-empted another blogpost that was already drafted and ready for print 🙂  So, enjoy poking around the new and improved “main page.”  It will take some of us some getting used to… but I am all for the update.  Most of all I am ALL for more and more people reaping the benefits of CrossFit training- even if it means it is no longer underground, no longer a secret club, no longer the Meat Packing district.  Ordem e progresso

 Tuesday’s WOD at 6, 7, 9am then at 4 and 6pm
Midday Open Training Hour, 5pm Gymnastics Specialty Hour

Every other minute for 8 rounds (16 minutes) of:
3 power snatch (50-60% 1RM)
2 overhead squat
1 squat snatch
–immediately move to pull up bar and static hang for 20-30 seconds.
Post load used on heaviest set to chalkboard/journals

A Little Help From My Friends
Sled Pulls, 2x15m as heavy as possible
Friends push sled back to start position
As many sets as you can complete in remainder of class session
Post heaviest set completed to chalkboard
