The overhead squat has shown up in many of the open workouts in previous years. One reason we practice overhead squats today, is so that everyone has a dress rehearsal in case overhead squat show up for 18.3 this week. But really, the main reason that overhead squats are scheduled for today is because this movement is the king of midline stability. It is also because the overhead squat challenges mobility over the entire body. Have fun, but most importantly – while you are painstakingly trying to maintain your composure and form as the load gets heavy – remember You are doing this to create a better you!
