Friday 161111 Veterans Day WOD

Today is Veterans Day- we are open for regularly scheduled classes and will be doing a special workout to pay our gratitude for those who have served in the US Armed Forces and to pay tribute to the many veterans who tragically end their own lives.
You might have heard of the #22PushupChallenge which was started by the veteran empowerment group Honor Courage Commitment. The group’s 22KILL movement works to build a community of support for veterans and raise awareness for mental health challenges they face. Both Lincoln and Josh took the challenge and posted videos of themselves doing 22 push-ups a day for 22 days to build awareness of veteran suicide- which is said to happen at a rate as high as 22 veterans each day.
Thank you to the US Veterans we have at CrossFit Malibu- Stan and Jason Gr are regularly attending athletes, Jess and John Ke still drop in from time to time.  Also- I want to recognize Elba and Carolyn who are currently active in the Air Force and Marines, respectively.  Apologies if I overlooked anyone- please let me know if that is the case.

22 lateral jump over bar burpees
22 KB swings (90/70#)
22 deadlifts (push press load + 20kg)
22 push press (85/65kg)
22 deadlifts

22 back burpees
