Pictured below is the oldest photo on record of CFM’s back burpee. Too many burpees lead to interference with push ups, complaining from athletes and generally is unnecessary. BUUUUUT… what do you do in the morning when you suddenly realize it is light outside and the 5:22am alarm you set didn’t go off (or that you hit snooze and didn’t know it)… you Go from supine to standing in an instant. Vio’la… half of a back burpee. Then when it hits you that it is SAAAATURDAY and you fall flat on your back and sink into the mattress. The other half of the back burpee.

Continue until you have 30… then deadlift, etc, etc.
Above is a 2009 shot of back burpees outdoors, sans gymnastics mats, in the path of forklifts and cement deliveries. Today you can enjoy a Dollamur or Norbert mat if you so choose.
