And then there was a heavy day. Again! In fact, let’s do more.
And then there was a “compare to” day. Again! In fact, let’s do more.
This heavy PUSH-PULL that happened 6 months ago. Does that sound familiar? Not familiar in the question of “do you rememeber doing it?” but is it familiar since I told you yesterday that Christine was going on the schedule for 6 months from now. Well… without revealing any secrets behind the scenes, this is a common practice: to put something we do “today” on the schedule for 3, 6, 9 months from today as a way to test the system. Not even really testing YOU… but checking to see the yield in PRs across time. This let’s me know if the workouts placed over a given stretch of time of providing the medium and long term impact that is intended.

One round of Push Pull every 10 minutes
Press (from the ground)
10, 10, 10, 10
Work up to a load, get max reps each set strict press then finish with push press
Use the same load for all 4 sets
Rest 4 minutes
-then-
Weighted, eccentric loaded pull ups- 10 second lower each rep
3, 3, 3, 3
Work up to a max load, then use the same load for all 4 sets
Rest 4 minutes
