Welcome to group classes Ben and Shelly! Ben is a Pepperdine graduate ready to enter law school in just a few weeks. He is from Texas and also continuing to work on his masters in dispute resolution. Ben has been showing up all over the calendar, getting daily training in despite a busy summer schedule. Shelly is Hart’s (9am) sister and is an avid martial arts devotee who has 2 poodles. She has been training in the Elements series for the past few weeks and also has hit up a few Saturday sessions. She will bounce between the 9am and 4pm classes.
An overview of today’s movements goes like this: running- the most functional method of a human moving quickly across the earth transporting from point A to point B under their own power. sit ups- using the rectus abdominus to “come to seated from a supine position rapidly” to tax the core musculature’s endurance and stamina… and deadlifts- picking up something from the ground and putting it back down repeatedly, which also happens to be THE best test of core stability. FUN FUN FUN.
