Today’s session is a chance to pick up heavy weight. For many of you, the idea will be to warm up and then gradually increase to a maximal load in the deadlift. As long as you are maintaining solid movement patterns and are successful with your lifts then your coach will likely encourage you to put more weight on the bar and go again. For those athletes who are still learning proper technique, your coach may direct you to stay at a sub-maximal load until your control of the movement improves. In order to receive proper input, make sure that your coach actually sees your lifts. This way you can be assisted in the best course of action. And have fun. Come back at 5pm to put some food on the grill and to share some of your favorite dish with others. We will provide drinks and tableware- you bring the good company.
