Wednesday 190227 Gym Circuit

Moving through space not for time today… instead, the focus is concentrated specifically on solid, quality movement. BUT WAIT! Don’t we always want good mechanics? While that answer is much closer to a YES than it is to a NO- in many of our workouts we are seeking high power at put AND good movement, and not one in spite of the other.

Today’s WOD is a bit different, in that the clock is not set- and the focus is on body control and positioning. Getting properly braced, holding tension, maintaining positioning through wide ranges of motion throughout the body. Not exactly high power output- but a varied form of stress to apply to the body. AND a change of pace!

Gymnastics Circuit, Not for Time
Gradually cycle your way through this list of activities, many times, for 30 minutes:
Slow motion pull up, 30 seconds (15s up, 15s down)
20 banded good mornings (2/1″)
Slow motion pull up, 30 seconds (15s up, 15s down)
10 candlesticks 
Max duration L sit hold
20 hollow rocks
Max duration L sit hold
5 wall walks or handstand hold
