THURSDAY is upon us and at this time of the year iot means the 2019 CrossFit Games Season officially opens. In actuality, top CF athletes have been busy qualifying for the end-of-July competition for months now via the brand new “Sanctionals” events. These are sanctioned CrossFit competitions put on by independent companies- most of which are well known “Functional Fitness Competitions” like Wodapalooza and Granite Games- but as of this year they will be pathways by which the elite will qualify for the CrossFit Games held in Madison, WI. The pros and masters will also be able to qualify via the standard “OPEN” competition. But this year the 2020 Games schedule changes… and another “OPEN” will be held in the month of October for NEXT year’s Games in Madison. We will give you more info about that event as school begins next September (feels like a world away!)
So- we WILL be holding a tiny version of the OPEN tonight at the Hut beginning with the 5pm announcement (NOT a grand show on the big screen with Dave Castro hosting via remote simulcast), then the WOD will be run at 6pm. If you plan on participating you should be officially signed up for the OPEN. And arrive during Open Training Hour to learn of the WOD and to begin warming up. Look forward to seeing you there if interested. Spectators and guest judges are welcome to attend.

Thursday’s WOD at 6, 7, 9am and again at 4 and 6pm

25 deadlifts 80/55kg
