Thursday 180927 Max Reps Couplet and Back Squat

The local news story pictured below has been circulating the inter webs following an “article” written in Reader’s Digest (I guess it still exists!). The article was entitled something like: “14 Exercises you should not do if you are older than 50 years old.” I wonder how they feel about handstand push-ups?!

I REALLY tried very hard not to repost the screen shot on this site… but much like a moth to a flame or that deep seated desire to watch a street fight or a traffic accident, I simply couldn’t stay away. What I WILL do, however, is not write anything more about it.

Can you comment on this for me instead?… looking forward to your views on the subject!

Thursday’s WOD at 6, 7, 9am and again at 4 and 6pm
Three rounds for maximum reps:
1 minute of handstand push ups/push ups
Rest exactly 1 minute
1 minute of double unders
Rest exactly 1 minute
-then-
15 minutes to find 1-rep max back squat
