Big waves have a way of shrinking class sizes… and that is a GOOD thing. A bike race, tennis match, hike with friends visiting from out of town… those are ALWAYS perfect reasons to miss a class that you usually attend. Hitting snooze to sleep off a late night of food and drink, rationalizing your way out of a single hour session because the movement doesn’t seem fun or because of excessive soreness from yesterday, or the often repeated quote that one’s own brain creates that sounds something like this, “you’ve been working so hard that you deserve to take a day off.” Now, THESE ‘excuses’ are lame at the very least… and likely pure BS at most!
A step back here… let me remove my own personal judgment. Make a point of training often and the results go your way. Train less and, well, results decline. It’s the same way with your eating program. You choose. Just don’t pretend like someone else is making the decision for you.
