Keep working those skills! Double unders, handstand walks, snatch balances, jerks, kipping pull-ups.
It’s one thing to train those simple movements that don’t require too much focus- assault bike, sled push, burpees. This kind of grunt work is clearly difficult and requires a mental fortitude that is tough to create when you are “thinking too much” about mechanics. It’s often best dealt with by throwing reckless abandon to the wind.
But ooh that skill work unlocks a whole other world and is screaming for your attention. A few minutes before or after class, some time at home, or attending an open gym session- whenever/wherever you can get it done. In small bits here and there, and everywhere!
