Thursday 180412 Training for 16.5

For those of you who pay close attention to the Open WODs- you will see right away that today’s session is a variation of last year’s Open finale. We are going with a touch fewer reps of each movement so you can get the feel of 16.5… but not the entire piece of work. This is so that you can get a shorter, intensier version. It is also because I don’t want you to be able to directly compare 16.5 with what you do today. It’s because we are training… and not testing. Go hard, stay loose through any double under stresses, and see how many sets of thrusters you can go unbroken!

This also happens to be the first jump-rope WOD since Mikaela performed some magic on the rope organization. The best way to thank her for her service to the jump ropes is to put YOUR ROPE back in its place expect the way you found it. So take a close look at the situation- and lave it how you found it. Thanks in advance!

Wow… look at how they just sit there beckoning you to practice your DUs. Cable strewn carefully under the purple band with handle gentle resting on the Rogue block… all while in the correct color coded slot. Do the right thing!

Thursday’s WOD at 6, 7, 9am and again at 4 and 6pm
8 rounds for time of:
45/30kg thruster, 8 reps
24 double unders
