Most of us will deadlift heavy and do double unders for the first time since completing Open WODs 18.4 and 18.3, respectively. Our 5 weeks of testing fitness in order to determine the fittest humans on the planet has come to a close for most of us- so we bump back into training mode.
This doesn’t mean we stop testing our fitness- because we do that all year around in the form of “compare-to” wods, strength days, and skill work challenges. It just means we can place our gaze on loads and scaling appropriate to advancing our current ability rather than meeting the standard of an Open WOD and then subsequently measuring our self-worth according to our worldwide ranking 🙂
Now give yourself a break… and start training for life in general AND the 2019 Open! More to come in future posts on some additional ways to work on skills, strength, and stuff to help you up your CrossFit game- so that you can continue on a path towards reaching more of your personal goals!
