We are inclusive. What does that even mean? Well, in addition to not caring who you voted for or where you were born… it means that it doesn’t matter what strengths or weaknesses, fears or limitations you bring with you when you arrive at the Hut. It means that we understand that EVERYONE has a need for fitness, regardless of how many fingers you have, what injuries or diseases you have/had, or what you have/haven’t been able to do in the past. Now… the specifics of these issues ALL MATTER to a certain extent. Your recent hip replacement informs coaches of your history, missing an arm requires many modifications in movement, and having diabetes provides insight into your health profile. But none of these little details disqualify you from membership at CrossFit Malibu. In fact- the MORE issues you have, the MORE we want you. The MORE we welcome you. The MORE we have to offer you. Won’t jump, you can step up. Dr.’s orders you can’t get your heart rate over 150, you wear a heart rate monitor. Don’t speak English, we use sign language. Never touched a barbell, we do more individual sessions. Can’t run, you can row. Ask Andy how the triathlon went… 5000 meters is tough no matter how you move… on foot or on a rower!
