Keep in mind that the 5pm class today runs at the same time as our BBQ! Come lift and then grill/eat. Lift in the morning or at the 3pm class and then relax and watch others set personal records as you eat food and drink beer/La Croix. Another option completely is to take the day off from any training at all because you have worked hard all week… and then attend the BBQ and cheer on the athletes while they set PRs as you eat carne aside with some guacamole and drink La Croix/beer.
Of course, this BBQ goes out to Carolyn- she is just several days from taking off to Marines basic training in Quantico, VA. Come meet her famous/infamous parents… question them on scholarly legal matters and/or get some background on what their youngest daughter was like before she wanted to be a military helicopter pilot. It’s gonna be great.
And if you are relatively new to the Hut- please note that you do not need to go super heavy with your deadlifts if you are learning the movement. These classes will be coached and taught as usual- so your form and mechanics are scrutinized at all times (*that goes for you veterans as well!). Neither do you even need to know who Carolyn is… just come. And see why this is the place to be on Friday evening.
Bring something to put on the grill and perhaps something on the side to share with others. Beer and La Croix will be cold.
Friday’s WOD at 7 and 9am, 3 and 5pm.
