Monday 160523 Weighted Pull ups and 11.1/14.1

Seems as if summer has arrived to Malibu… here are some clues: The thirty vehicle procession of Maseratis snaking through Kanan, the farmer’s market is packed, Surfrider is delivering a tiny south swell of right-handers curling all the way from first point to the pier, the sand is just a little too hot to walk across at Westward, and a dozen CrossFit Malibuites were out in full force for a Sunday morning beach WOD. Our semi-official summer kick off is next Monday with Memorial Day Murph. This week our specialty classes finish up their six week cycle with new programming beginning at the top of June as well… And there has been some mumbling about the Summer Water Series launch coming soon. Hope you enjoyed the weekend and that you were able to spend the day by the pool, in the ocean, or in the yard getting some sun and relaxing the mind and body because you deserved the rest. It’s Monday and we have an ambitious week of training ahead of us!

30 double unders
15 power snatches* (35/25/20kg)
This was also Open WOD 11.1! Compare to Feb 28 or 30th 2014 and to mid-March 2011
*this is actually a ground to overhead any way
