Tuesday 160224 Run, Push Up, DB Snatch Triplet

Yesterday we did some weightlifting and gymnastics. Some people love these kinds of days and others don’t. Today we have another triplet that takes a very different form and I am sure that anyone checking the blog on a daily basis will notice the exact same thing: Today We Run. After doing this for a long time I can tell you that there is nothing like relatively “long” runs programmed into a workout that have a significant impact on athlete attendance. And I don’t mean that classes are packed- but rather quite the opposite. Of course, if you have a running-related injury you won’t be forced to run. But for the rest of you running-loathing athletes out there- force yourself to come on in and work on your weakness. Those of you running-lovers, I am sure we will see both of you ready and eager for 3 half-milers with some pushes and pulls to weigh you down. For you slower joggers, we will even scale that distance.  3-2-1- RUN!

Upcoming Class Addition to the Current Schedule:
Beginning next Monday, February 29th we will be starting a 6am class to lead off the week. For years we have only run Tuesday and Thursday classes and in response to growing demand for the 6am AND larger class sizes in the 7am session- let’s start meeting for an early WOD at 6am on Mondays! We will pencil this into the schedule for a 5 week trial run. If we maintain an average of 5 athletes for that period- then consider we will put it in Sharpie.

Tuesday’s WOD at 6, 7, 9am and again at 4 and 6pm
Midday Open Training Hour and Gymnastics Specialty at 5pm
For time:
800m run
40 push ups
40 DB hang power snatch (50/35#), alternate as desired
800m run
40 DB hang power snatch
40 push ups
800m run
Post time, load and scaling to chalkboard/comments
