Welcome to new CFM athlete- Kyle S a senior Business Administration major at Pepperdine University, where he also played volleyball. After training CrossFit on his own the last few years, he fell love with the erg and rowing. Last year, he competed in the Festivus Games (a global online competition) and he dominated the 1k row and 50 wall ball workout. Last summer, he decided to completely dedicate himself to ergging (ROWING) everyday and he caught the interest of the UC Berkeley rowing coaches as well as one of four USA “Training Centers” for sculling. They asked him to move up to Northern California to train full time. Rowing is now his passion, and he has his sights set on the 2020 Olympics.
You will see Kyle in some group classes- but mainly you will see him on a rower in the mornings, for up to two hours. So if you wonder who the athletes is that is trying to break the C2… it’s just Kyle; hitting a sub 1:30 pace for 2000m. Yes you read it right.
