Hope you were able to make the most of an entire weekend devoted to thankfulness and gratitude, family and friends. CrossFit Malibu coaches are thankful to be able to show up at the Hut daily and work with you towards improved fitness and increased strength- all a part of the journey to being all-around better. The work put in is a path to improvement. Towards being better than yesterday, stronger and more determined than the day before. It is a THANKFUL job- and we are grateful to be a part of your journey. AS WELL, we are on that very same path as individuals- no different than any of yours.
Personally, I am also grateful to be part of an environment that is focused on this idea that THE most important thing is this road to improvement. The PRs are milestones along the way. Goals that are met and other collateral achievements are indicators that the work yields results… that it works. But what I believe really matters is that it is the dedication and hard work that simply makes us better people. PERIOD. I am grateful to be a part of a movement that knows that a training sessions is not punishment for supposed guilty pleasures like a Thanksgiving Feast. But rather- time spent at the gym is opportunity to gain strength of character as much as strong quads, to develop powerful commitment and not just a power clean, to create a passion for movement and not just to move some weight around.
