For those of you who cling to each word written in this daily blog- or even the less frequent readers who scan the posts carefully- you already know what is coming today.
But even if you do know… you still might not know this regarding the namesake of today’s WOD: Eva T is one of CrossFit’s early athletes… as a 2 time Olympian and hall of fame downhill skier and now a masters level Olympic weightlifting champion- she has a world class pedigree. She achieved her ski fame before she ever found CrossFit- but she was introduced to it directly from the founder himself- even before the program was called CrossFit… even before Greg owned his own facility. And as one of the earliest athletes trained in this method- she is definitely a CF OG! Eva, Annie and Nicole made their mark in the CrossFit history books with this video doing a workout called Nasty Girls. Eva is one the far right at the beginning of the video… it is worth a watch to see them through one round of this workout that features muscle ups and power cleans at 52kg. Read more about Eva in this 3 part series.
Finally keep in mind that the benchmark WOD entitled Eva is actually FIVE rounds. Can you imagine this? Well, when you are deep into the first set of pull ups… just think: you could have 4 more rounds to go. Instead of crushing you today- you will get a good “training-sized dose” of Eva.
