Monday 151019 Twisted Cindy

Peter and Mike raced the Playa del Rey Sprint Triathlon Sunday morning. Dark and looming thunder clouds, a murky and stormy swim, and a drizzly bike ride gave way to a humid 5km run. And while that might paint a macabre-like Halloween environment for a triathlon- it was actually a really great morning… which, of course, ended with sunny clear skies!

A change in atmosphere was a welcome difference from our Malibu Indian Summer and the cooler temperatures made the entire race more pleasant. Seen on the course were t shirts from CrossFit Code 3, CrossFit Reflex and CrossFit Los Angeles. CFLA used this triathlon as the culminating event for their autumn triathlon training program. It was cool to see other CrossFitters testing out their GPP (general physical preparedness).

You might remember back during the mid-summer Bingo challenge that there was a category for signing up for some type of race. Peter and Mike both used this race as credit for that bingo square… and both thought it was great to have an event out there on the horizon to look forward to… What’s next for you? Maybe this Dec 5th Saturday morning thingy about an hour from the Hut?!
