Now half way into the one-month-long series, the gymnastics specialty class is focusing on work with the rings, parallel bars and parallettes. Always included is work on midline stability, setting and maintaining tension in the core, and translation of that rigidity out to the extremities. Sustained mobility work supports this… and most of the gymnastics class athletes have been doing some individual work to practice these skills and positions. Those of you who are doing the Whole Life Challenge can use these minutes of mobility towards your daily mobility practice. Of course you know that only 10 minutes are required per day… but with specific work that you have to focus on through the gymnastics series on Tuesday nights- you will never be short of homework to implement during your Whole Life Challenge.
