Wednesday 150610 “Barbell Duplex” and Sleds

Have you ever been to another CrossFit affiliate while traveling somewhere?  If not… then try it out!  As is stated in our own CrossFit Malibu website , “Our athletes have enjoyed CrossFit hospitality all over the world, from Cape Cod to Kauai, Argentina to Anguilla, Texas to Thailand and CrossFit Malibu loves to have drop-in guests.  Whether you are on vacation, a business trip or somewhere in between- go to crossfit.com and click on the AFFILIATE FINDER MAP (shown in the picture below). Trying out a CrossFit gym far, far away is a great way to meet local people in an environment that you can relate to and you can also stay on track with your fitness program while on the road.  I think both of those reasons are equally important!

Nervous or have some trepidation about going to someplace other than CrossFit Malibu?  Relax… most CF gyms welcome fellow CrossFit athletes with open arms and tend to be equally hospitable, welcoming and nonjudgmental as we are at CFM.  To make you feel more prepared…try reading a couple of articles like THIS ONE and THIS OTHER ONE which give advice on what to do before, during and after you are a drop in athlete at another CF box.  I agree with many/most points in these articles… Read them- take what you like and leave the rest!

By the way… here is what the rest of our website says about out-of-town CrossFitters who want to drop-in for a class or three at the Hut:  …we must have 24 hour advanced notice via text, email or phone call, or you will not be able to join in a class.  Drop-ins are only appropriate for people with enough previous CrossFit experience to function independently in class. The cost for a class, payable by cash or charge is $25.  If you are in town for longer- you may be eligible for short term membership.
