Monday 150504 Wall Ball and Toes to Bar Pyramids

Congrats to Whitney and Megan on their graduation from Pepperdine.  Whitney has her degree in sports medicine and Megan in physics… well done CrossFit Malibu scholars!  Smart AND athletic- let’s highlight some of their PRs in the month of their graduation:  Whitney set PRs in her 3 rep overhead squat, had a 3 second improvement in the 500m row, as well as a 3kg gain in her front squat.  Megan PRd her 500m row and front squat with improvements of 1 second and 11 kilograms, respectively.  She also bettered her power clean by 5kg  AND finished 100 double unders in 53 seconds- better than her old record of 58 seconds. Her time in the 10-1,1-10 WOD repeat was 1:37 faster than last time.  Keep up the hard work and determination!

Tabata Your Weakness begins today!  You should have chosen 3 movements you’d like to spend time improving in the early segment of each WOD class.  Have these ready to go: 1- a bodyweight movement, 2- a bodyweight static hold, 3- a mobility position.  You will be given focused time to dedicate to these movements.  You can have more than one for each of the three types.  Just be sure you have them decided upon- as you won’t have much time to think once it is time to start the clock!  Minimum of 4 minutes work on these daily!

Strength focus for May: all things related to PUSHING.  Pretesting begins tonight in the 6pm session and will be retested on May 27th. Seven classes to target your presses and related pushes.  *no strength class on Monday- Memorial Day… as we will all do “Murph” at 10am… CFM will be on holiday schedule with 1 class that day.


Monday 7, 9, 10am, 4 and 5pm.  Strength class 6pm- new focus!
