Wednesday 121024 Press/Pull then Sprint

Dr Priscilla MacRae, while on sabbatical from sports medicine department this year, is writing a book chapter AND learning one-handed kettlebell swings.  Contributing to the ever-growing field of practitioner-based exercise science, health and fitness- she is focusing on her specialty of motor learning/motor control and the again population.  With almost 3 full years of CrossFit on her side- she definitely will add some unique points to the chapter…. which will also include a “sidebar story” about Laurie and her athletic growth as an “older adult” who has undergone some of her own physical activity instruction over the last 2 years.  We look forward to reading the finished copy!

Adding new skills along the way!

Wednesday WOD: class times at 7, 9, 10am and again at 4 and 5pm.  Strength class at 6pm and OnRamp at 7pm

***4pm WOD new trial class time, you want this to remain on the schedule?… Come!
Every other minute, ON the minute, for 4 rounds of:
Shoulder press, 5 reps at 70-75% 1RM
Deadhang (weighted) Pull ups, 5 reps
-then-
4 rounds, each for time of 100m sprint
Rest as desired between sets

Post fastest 100m sprint and press working weight pull up scaling/weight to chalkboard/journals.
